Volume 93 brings the voting for the ten best games and the ten most important theoretical novelties from Chess Informant 92, theoretical survey in ECO format, the most interesting combinations and endings from recent tournament practice, studies, tournament standings and crosstables, and the best of Michael Adam's creative output.

Die Partien des Inf. 93 gibt es auch auf CD. Separat kosten Buch und CD je 28, in Kombination 34 Euro. Die CD bietet zusätzlich eine Datei mit 500 kommentierten Partien aus älteren Informatoren und 102 Kombinationsaufgaben. Für kleine PC-Analysen und zum Spielen steht die Freeware Crafty bereit, und mit dem Such- und Leseprogramm Chess Informant Reader lite (ebenfalls auf der CD) kann nach SpieEröffnungen und Stellungen gefahndet werden. Anschließend lehnt man sich zurück und bekommt die Partie vorgespielt. Hin und wiespringen dann knallrote Sprechin die Notation, mit knappen Hinweisen wie „a mistake", „a strong move" oder „Black has a decisive advantage".
Die mitgelieferte lite-Version kann aber nichts exportieren. Wer die kommentierten Partien von der CD in die eigene Datenbank übernehwill, braucht dazu die VollverCI Expert 6 - und der Experte kostet extra. (Zum Partientransfer siehe auch Helmut Riedl, RE 8/2005,71).
