Die Reihe "starting out" des engli­schen Verlags Everyman Chess zeigt eine beeindruckende Entwicklung. Nachdem man sich dabei zunächst auf eine sehr gut verständliche und solide Einführung in ein breites Spek­trum an Eröffnungen konzentrierte, konnten wir Ihnen in den letzten Ausgaben auch einige Bände zum Thema Endspiel vorstellen.

Nun wendet sich Everyman auch noch einem weiteren Thema zu. Den Auftakt bildet James Plasketts Buch "starting out: attacking play", eine Ergänzung mit dem Titel "starting out: defensive play" von Angus Dunnington ist bereits für den Sommer angekündigt.
