With this book we have taken the opportunity to present our thoughts and ideas to you. This book offers every chess player a comprehensive picture of the Closed Sicilian. Such a book should aim to teach both opening theory and middlegame principles, thus making further literature on the opening unnecessary. This common aim is similarly applicable here.
The Closed Sicilian appears relatively frequently. Players who chose to answer 1. e4 with c5 cannot avoid it. Such a closed treatment has many fans with the white pieces. Spassky, the legendary Ex-World Champion often uses the opening nowadays. Of course in analysis and games respectively the reader will encounter many more great players. We have chosen the games so that a complete picture of this opening is formed. Our ides with the diagrams was to stimulate combinational ability as well enchanting the eyes and soul.
